Why did you make this page?

I made this page because I'm an avid fan of animation (or cartoons if you want to call it that) of all kinds, be it Disney or Anime. I collect screengrabs of my favorite characters and post them here on the site. Don't worry, if I know where they came from, I give credit where credit is due.

What's with the furry art? Are you a furry?

Not really. I actually consider myself a "half-fur." Reason being is because while I love anthro art and stories, I only indulge in the material that is sensibly and reasonably clean. When it comes to anthro fanart, what I truly despise is toon slash and toon porn.

How did you come up with Rowan Adventures?

The idea of Rowan Adventures came to me in various forms. One form was when Treasure Planet was in theaters, another was from playing Star Fox Adventures, another was from playing Phantasy Star Online, and another was from watching the Star Wars movies. It first started out with the Rowans being pirates looking for a lost treasure with the Black Furs giving them competition, but with all the war going on in Iraq, I decided to change the theme from pirates to military; the Air Force to be exact.

How did you come up with the characters and their animal species?

Wes and Pike Rowan have always been stuck in my head for a long as I can remember. The two at first were going to be husband and wife, but, I see enough husband and wife stories to last me a lifetime, so I changed them to brother and sister. It kind of adds to the twist because they can have a bit of sibling rivalry from time to time. The other characters came to me as I went along. Kass was one that had not changed. I choose her to be a medical expert of the group as well as a practicer of Wiccan white magic. Sage was to be the tough guy of the group, but at the same time, have a bit of an easy going side. The thought of him being a mechanic came to me during the making of Season 2 of Rowan Adventures. Kai and Kayla came to me during the finalization of the character roundup. As you know, they are both Non-commissioned officers or NCOs in the Air Force, and in real-life, NCOs in the AF are not allowed to be pilots. I looked to change this rule in my story. The R.S. Air Force is going through a program training NCOs to pilot fighter craft, and Kai was the first volunteer to take this challenge. You'll have to read Episode 1 to get the idea.

As for their furry speices, that idea came to me from the Redwall series. I use all speices in a different way from what Brian Jacques does (taking nothing away from the brilliant mind of Mr. Jacques, of course). As you'll notice in the Redwall series, the main villians are mostly rats, stoats, ferrets, weasels, and foxes, and the main heroes are mice, hedgehogs, badgers, squirrels, otters, moles, and other woodland creatures. In Rowan Adventures, any species can be on either side. Case in point: on the hero side, Wes and Pike are both foxes; the President of the R.S.A., Kimberly Konnell, is a rat; and the President of Dutchess, Rene Benoit, is a weasel. On the villnan side: the leader of the Import Liberators, Janet Luger, is a hedgehog; and her right-hand girl, Mandy Pinner, is a chipmunk (chipmunks were not used in Redwall, but you get the idea). While some characters retain some of the Redwall rules, others that will be introduced later in the series will go by my rule oa "anything goes."

What made you come up with the idea of using characters from Tail Concerto and Treasure Planet in Rowan Adventures?

For Tail Concerto, I've played the game numerous times to come up with ideas on how to continue telling the story in my eyes. I kept thinking to myself: how would the characters in the game live after the story is over with and done? As I was crafting ideas, Episode 10 suddenly came into my mind. You'll have to read that to find out.

As for Treasure Planet, I had some ideas in my head as to what to do with the three main heroes, Captain Amelia, Dr. Doppler, and Jim Hawkins. The first thing I thought about was to have Wes and Pike be friends with Captain Amelia during their younger days in the Interstellar Academy. I might craft a story or an episode on those days in the near future.

How did you come up with the idea of New Redwall?

Being a big fan of Redwall, I imagined in my mind what Redwall would be like today had it survived all the way through the middle ages, where the story primarily takes place. Would it use the technology of today or would they stray away from it? Most of this is explained in Episode 16 about New Redwall's orgin and of the characters that inhabit the new Abbey. I plan on continuing to include New Redwall in future Rowan Adventure episodes, so look forward to seeing them all, and with that, I plan to explain the orgin of New Redwall even further with each episode.

Is there any mention of the orgins of Wes and Pike's parents or the original 651st Fighter Wing mentioned in the first episode?

Yes there is, but I'm still writing all that out. The story of Wes and Pike's parents, as well as Sage's father who plays a role in the back telling of Rowan Adventures, will most likely be following Season 3: The Space Wars as Season 4: Beginnings. Once I'm finished with Season 2, I'll clue all in on the details concerning Season 4.

Any Questions about Rowan Adventures or anyting else about me or my site, email me and I'll get them answered for you. Look for my email address on the front page.
